Measuring instructions:

Enter the length, width, height, and number of pieces. Select “Other” use and type in “drum”. Select “Medium” and type in “150” pounds. Select “Standard” quality.

Note: Other adhesives may work just as well as 3M #77. Our friends at The Cavaliers use DAP's Weldwood adhesive.

 

 

Once you have your foam and adhesive you are ready to begin! You should have at least two people for this project. A few more can help if you have several drums.

 

How long will this take?

Estimated time - 2 drums + 2 people = 2 hours 5 drums + 2 people = 3 hours

 

Equipment and Tools you will need:

o Foam
o 3M 77 Spray adhesive
o Drum keys
o Fine grade sandpaper – 1 sheet
o Dusting rag and paper towels
o Windex or similar
o Scissors
o Junk cardboard sheets or newspaper
o Adjustable wrench
o Vice-grips
o Small jar of Vaseline
o Optional – Can of acetone (described below)
