This is where it all starts! Many drummers get their first competitive experience in a high school drumline. For many of the lines, they become THE core of the marching band and are looked to for creating that special (cool) image for the rest of the band.

There are a lot of great high school drumlines out there, and many of them perform at a drum corps level of technicality. Some of them are very innovative and create their own brand of performance, technique and sound.
